Kierston White is an Americana artist residing in Norman, OK. First inspired to pick up the guitar by brother Bryon White (of the Damn Quails), Kierston has grown into a matured songwriter and performer in her own right. Cutting her teeth at legendary venues like OKC’s Blue Door and Norman’s Deli, Kierston has absorbed the quality songwriting surrounding her.
Swapping tunes with other Okie artists like Samantha Crain, John Calvin Abney, and John Moreland, Kierston hosted heavy-hitting songwriters at her residency at The Deli in Norman weekly for over ten years. Other guests have included Christy Hays, Ramsay Midwood, Ali Harter, Lilly Hiatt, Kaitlin Butts, Jason Scott, Carter Sampson, and Mallory Eagle.
Kierston formed Oklahoma all female acoustic group Tequila Songbirds in 2014, who still perform intermittently as an energetic harmony-charged folk trio. During the covid 19 pandemic, music took a backseat to her work as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit in her community.
Kierston's most recent 2024 release, an EP titled "Give the People What They Paid For', is available on all platforms.
